Default Need Feedback

Im planning to upgrade my 94 gt. Im doing this within the next 2 months after I pay it off. I need to know since a lot of you have own mustangs a lot longer than I have. My car has a 5.0 engine, is it worth upgrading it, or trading it in for a newer model? I think my queston is does my car have the potential to out run all the 4.6 racing around?

your car does have the potential, the bolt ons for the 5.0 are cheaper than the 4.6, and there is a lot you can do.

Stick with the 5.0.....there is a huge aftermarket for it. You will def. be able to keep up with 96-98 GT's....but you will need some upgrades to catch up to the 99-04 GT's.

Good luck with it [sm=smiley20.gif]

some upgrades you might wanna consider is heads, pistons, etc. basically internals. maybe not first but keep that in the back of your mind when looking for parts.

this is because the 94-95 gt's were actually slower than the fox-bodies becasue they changes i think it was the pistons and maybe a couple of other things.

Keep the 5.0 you can buy so much more for it so much cheaper. later on you could stroke it out and put a good set of heads intake and have a car that will really run.

you could do weight reduction if that's what you mean. i don't like doing the rear seat delete casue i still give rides to people so i can show them the pwer of a 5.0

wait... do you mean that the weight difference between the 2 are different? yea the foxbodies are a little lighter than the SN-95's

i say ditch the 5.0 ...... get a 5.8 (351W) . 351W is a much better engine than the 302. it can handle more power and can handle much larger displacement. pretty much everything will bolt right onto it also. i sugggest you research a 351W swap into the sn95 and see what you come up with

I totally agree with the 351W swap. Tons of upgrades are available for it too.
