Okay, I finally got around to replacing the trunk lid on my 89 vert with a lid/spoiler combo from BlueOval Industries and am happy with the fit and finish of the aftermarket lid. Kudos to Blue Oval!

I was wondering if anyone with a fox body vert or notch has replaced their hood supports (the big, unsightly, coiled contraption) with a set of gas supports similar to those used on hatchbacks. I was thinking this would really clean up the trunk If I could figure out how to get them to work. Any ideas?
