catted has catalytic converters so if a cop checks under your car you wont get a ticket and youll also be able to pass an emissions test.

off road is technically for off road (track) use only. you wont pass an emessions test but youll make more hp than with cats. i also believe that your exhaust note may be slightly more pronounced (louder)

basically o/r is better but catted will be less of a PITA depending on where you live and how tought the cops/emissions control guys are.

No experience with catback exhaust, but I had a 2001 mustang gt not long ago and my first mods to it were a Mac offroad X pipe and Flowmasters. Talk about loud and mean sounding. I had people backing down from a race at a stoplight after they heard me rev my engine. The horsepower increase was awesome and the sound was amazing. One thing to be ready for, with an offroad exhaust (no cats), you will notice a sulfur smell in your car for a couple weeks. Nothing bothersome really, i thought it was kinda cool myself. After a couple weeks you don't even notice the smell anymore. But your friends will. What metaldrummer said is right on.

I would go with the offroad x pipe, if you can handle REALLY LOUD exhaust. THe performance will be better is what i understand about it. Be prepared to almost yell at your passenger during conversations on the highway.

Ummm. you're either retarded or had an exhaust leak. I have a Magnaflow off road X and magnaflow catback and I never had a "sulfery smell". The sound @ WOT is insane. What's even better is driving down the street with the catback off. Just an open offroad X. Gets everyone up real quick

I don't have to yell in my car at all. That's just cause you have Crapmaster mufflers![:'(]

if the state you live in is strick on emmissions then get a catted but if they aren't go with a off road.
