Default TIRE ??

Ok I dunno if this is a stupid question or not so I'm just gunna ask....if i wanted new tires for better traction (some drag radials) couldn't I just replace my two rear tires? I know its the cheap way to do it but couldn't this work? Sorry if that question is retarded lol

Yea, just buy a set of drag radials for the rear thats all you need. Putting them on the front won't do you any good!

most people only buy 2 DRs for the rear, not unusual at all, but some people do use them for autocross as well...

ideally you want a skinny tire up front , to reduce rolling resistance.

1999 GT 5sp
O/R H Pipe
Borla Catback
4.10's
Mickey Thompson 275/40/17 ET STREET RADIALS

this should make your decision pretty easy. look at the magic these tires did.

14.545@99.37 w/ 2.226 60'
to
14.086@99.09 w/ 2.050 60'

and that was with a 3500 launch with a bog
in teh spring i'll be doing a 2nd gear full burnout dumping the clutch around 5500
can you say 13.6 with a 1.8 60'?
