Default Extra Keys

I need two sets of keys and 2 controllers for the power door and locks. When I purchased Crystal's car, it only came with one set. I was quoted $100 for each key and I think $50 for the controller. Is the dealer the only place I can get dupes? What a rip off!

Woah, is that some sort of digital ignition? For my '94 i just take 'em to a hardware store and pay them like $1 and i get like 5 keys

By the controller what do you mean? The remote type thing? Usually they'll charge you about $50 for the module, and $50 to program it.

If you want the car to not start with your new keys because of the PATS, this would be a great idea.

Since you only have one key, you will have to have a Ford dealership program you a second one. You can buy blank keys online for slightly cheaper, but the dealership is still going to charge you for an hour's labor to program them. If you are worried she is going to lose a key, spend the extra now and have two extra sets sitting at home. If you have two keys you can program new blank ones yourself.
