I recently totaled my v6 and am in the market right now for a 99 or 00 GT and I am wondering what differences happened in these two years? Other then a few sterio problems and intake plenum. I have searched the forums and am clueless. Oh and on a side note if anyone has a 99 or 00 GT coupe that isnt a funky color like gold or green and dosent have a crap load of miles on it send me a message.

basicaly a 99 and a 00 are the same car. in 01 the 5spd changed and some diffent interor and exteror options where added.

 

Didnt the 99 gt's lack the hood scoop

 

I thought the 00 didn't have it either.

 

The only difference between the '99 and '00 is that the '99 GT has the 35th anniversary badge and the '00 has the normal GT badge.

The hood scoop didn't come along until '01.

 

which tranny is better. the T5/T-45 or 3650? what did ford change?

 

they claim the 3650 is bulletproof but there were syncro problems for the first few years. I don't know which one is better but Ford claims the 3650 is stronger.

 

they clame the 3650 is better but i have seen them blow with less abuse than a t45. the early t5 where week but buy they time they did away with them they were fairly good.
