Default Speaker box in convertibl

Would I be waisting my money if I were to get a speaker box in the trunk of my 01 convertible mustang? I'm concernedthat I will be able to hear it that much. Anyone have any articles or could point me in the right direction? Anyone actually know? I know some people have them, but I never heard them.

So does it sound good when you are going worn the road with the top down?

Here's the deal. I went to Circuit City this week and spoke to a guy that I trust with my car. He is very good and usually knows what he is talking about. He was going to build a custom box to fit my trunk for my 2 10" speaker. While talking to him he said that in order for me to really hear the subsI would have to push a lot of power to it. ie... Big Amp. Not a problem I said. Then he continued that it will not sound like it did in my 91 mustang because it was a hatchback. Well, I know that it will not sound exactly the same but will I be pleased I asked.... he said that I will definately know that they are there but it may not be what I am after. I am not after all that Tu Pac Bass stuff. I would like some thump in the ride but I am not out to do any impressing. So my question (long winded, sorry) Can you hear that Tube when you are moving down the street? Is it worth the money?
