Where can I get a free car report, like from car fax of some sort?

 

I had been looking at used cars for the past 6 months on the net. Nobody will give you a free car report. They will tease you and tell you there are so many hits about your vehicle but that's to lure you in to purchase a report. If you are serious about the car, you'll just have to pay for it or go to the OFF TOPIC SECTION and see if somebody will do it for you.

If you are purchasing a used car off a lot, you could always ask if they would run a car fax for you if they have an account. I just purchased a used car from a lot and they ran one for me, but it was after I bought it. I never thought to ask them beforehand if they had access to CarFax. Some dealers advertise that all their cars are CarFaxed, so it really doesn't hurt to ask. They can only say no.
