Default Trying to clean my headlights *pics*

someone on this forum recommended me to do this. so here it goes..




and now the car sits like this... with out the headlights...

You didnt need to take out the headlights to do that. Why did you take them out?[&:]

its prety easy to take them out actually... have you tried it? its like 2 clips that holds it in. you just pull them out.. it was probly the easyest thing i ever done with my car.

but i took them out. so i won't have to worry about getting Mothers Mag Alum polish all over my paint.

Thats something I need to do. My headlights are dirty and nasty as hell.

Did you just use a rag? or a buffing wheel?
I tried using the plastX with just a rag and it did nothing haha, so i switched to the dremel and it worked amazing... even though the dremel was tiny so it took a while

yea, before and after pics are nice. that's what we'd like to see. looks like he used a rag.

I'd like to find a sure fire way of cleaning them.

I tried that already and I have to say that it is not a permanent solution. I mean it does not solve the problem ... it does not remove the scratches and residue it is just masking the surface. It will go back to your previous condition after the first rain.

If it works out for you let me know step-by step what you did and how long it took you. Maybe you did it differently
