Default AOD shifter Question

Hey i was lookin into this shifter for my 1994 gt, my main question is wat the overdrive relocation button is for? is it just to turn off overdrive, and any other comments are welcomed. the first pic is the shifter i want from upr preformance and the second one is just a better picture of the overdrive relocation button. thanks a ton

i'm pretty sure that button is to turn the O/D on and off, i can't see any other use for it, maybe you should contact UPR just to make sure. shifter looks darn good by the way, nice choice

Where did you find these 2 shifters? they look pretty sweet. I have a 95 and the od button isnt on the actual shifter, so not sure how I would wire it up. Just curious where you found these. Thanks

hey guys,
where are your od buttons? Mine is next to the shifter on the panelling. I see that upr has a **** that has a button on the shifter.. did they come with buttons installed on the shifter or something. See the pic where mine is. 95 gt

I have that shifter but I did not buy the o/d button relocater. I just wired mine back up to a new toggle switch i mounted on the by the lighter. here is a pic for ya. My shifter is from mgwltd.com though

I looked on the site also and it seems they have stopped making them. They used to have ones with the pony, the GT sign, and a few others. If I find them again ill let you know.
