Default AOD shifter Question

Hey i was lookin into this shifter for my 1994 gt, my main question is wat the overdrive relocation button is for? is it just to turn off overdrive, and any other comments are welcomed. the first pic is the shifter i want from upr preformance and the second one is just a better picture of the overdrive relocation button. thanks a ton

i'm pretty sure that button is to turn the O/D on and off, i can't see any other use for it, maybe you should contact UPR just to make sure. shifter looks darn good by the way, nice choice

Where did you find these 2 shifters? they look pretty sweet. I have a 95 and the od button isnt on the actual shifter, so not sure how I would wire it up. Just curious where you found these. Thanks

I looked on the site also and it seems they have stopped making them. They used to have ones with the pony, the GT sign, and a few others. If I find them again ill let you know.
