Default will these tires fit????

i own a 99 SVT cobra and am lookin at new tires and was wondering if tires 255/45/17 will fit without any problems? and what size can i go up to before i rub? thanks.

If I am not mistaken then those cobra rims are 17x9. I think you should be fine running a 275/40 series tire in the rear. But keep the stock 245's up front.

yes, they will fit and you could even put 275/40's all the way around if you a wider tire.

3. they'll inadvertantly make the backs look smaller

i have 275 40s all around it isnt to bad, but i will be honest i wish the fronts were 1 size smaller and the backs bigger.

eh,, all you'll have to do is swith left to right. right cause the two up front wont be getting smoked off, so you should just keep them in the same place, just different sides

or,, i could put my 275's up front (DR's might i add) and my all season 245's in back

I thought that you couldn't switch from side to side. I believe that mustang tires are directional meaning you can only rotate front to back.
Oh, you could put those 275's up front. That would be like me saying I'm putting my 315's up front.[8D]
