How much do you think it would be for car insurance on a 99-00 Mustang coupe for a 16 year old female. I also should be getting about 30% off for good grades and for taking a drivers ed class. Also I live in Arkansas and I dont have a driving record. Im trying to get some sort of idea because I've tried to get quotes from like Geico and Progressive but they were unable to give me one.

well first off what engine? second, i own an 88 4banger, i get about 30% discount, but im also a guy, so i pay about $1400 a year.

 

I havent bought the car yet. Im looking into the insurance costs first before I decide on actually getting the car.

 

Depends on where you live and your driving record (if you even have one) There is no point in even asking here, call an insurance company and get a quote

no hes right, i pay about 3k a year for a 02 vert in mass at 16, our rates are set by the state[:'(]

 

thats rediculious. youre getting raped up the *** with those rates. when i was 16 i still only payed $1800/yr

 

i'm currently 18, but i have had the same rates for a while. Now with a $200 speeding ticket( 53 in a 25 in a school zone, i wasn't even paying attention just cruzing) and i totaled someones car and i pay 1400 a year and that with the high honors discount.

 

I just don't want her to think the $100 monthly payments some people have will be what she's going to get, because I highly doubt she would have rates that low It all depends on where you live and your driving record, so it's kind of senseless to ask people what they pay to get an idea of what you can expect to pay.
