Default removing carbon from combustion chamber

Does anyone know of any additive that has been proven to decrease carbon that is already built up???

I may have a little too much built up, but I can't pull the heads because it is my daily driver

Thanks for any ideas

What makes you think you have "carbon build up"?

I was posting my situation in the classic forum here CLICK

I'm hoping it's a mechanical advance issue, but i'm not sure....

If it is carbon, I will attempt to lessen it without pulling the heads

i just bought a chemtool 3 step kit from Kragen...they said it was intended only for pro mechanics [sm=bs.gif]

it seemed more convincing than some of the other kits...anyway thanks for the opinions

Water will do as good a job as anything.Spray a fine mist into the intake and it will steam clean the carbon out.Avoid spraying into the MAF but spraying into the PCV hose with the engine warmed up and letting enough in to cause the engine to stumble a little can do a lot.
