Default WARRANTY VOID??

I just bought my 04 cobra 4 months ago....seriously i think it's really fast and fun to drive, but i want MORE POWER....i've heard that warranty voids even if the mufflers are changed...but i was wondering wt if i bought ford performance parts and had Ford install them...does anyone knoe if it warranty void???

for me, if anything breaks that is a direct result of what i did, they won't cover it. its best to ask your dealership or a compeating one.

the only way a part will void you warranty is if the part is directly to blame for what went wrong

if you get a gear job, then your power windows break, they still havta fix them

thats kool.....what if i put headers....and if something went wrong with the engine...u think they wouldnt fix the engine??

If you do any type of performance mod and the engine ****s up chances are you're SOL.

Unrelated note: Chilo, did you buy your car with the "running pony" logo inbetween the headlights? Because to my knowledge the 03/04 cobras came with snakes there.

most of the time factory perfomance parts intalled buy a certified shop (dealer) will not void your warrenty. but check with the dealer first.

Ok, 1.) by federal law after market parts WILL NOT void your warrenty

2.) if you do a tune or headers or something just change it back before you bring it in for work

You never know, Ford could have put the wrong emblem on there. On my wife's '04 V6, there was one GT side scoop and one V6 side scoop installed brand new from the factory.
