Default shop near philly

I have a 94 cobra that i am going to have 3.73 gears in. There is a shop i know of that does good work but they are expensive. They quoted me for 800. They would buy strange engineering gears and install them. I am 45 min NE of philly and was wondering if there are any other shops that could be recomended. Jersey is ok if anyone know shops there too.

go to John's Horsham Service Center on 611 across from the willow grove naval base. my family has been going there for 30 years now, and never once had a problem. were good friends with the guy that runs the place, and he does exceptional work at a pretty good price. i can give you more information if youre interested. he's located in the horsham area, near warrington, like 5min from willow grove, if you know the area.

$800?!?!? Thats WAAAAAY too much. I would say that the average cost to have gears installed is probally around $250 plus the gears (another $200) so you should be at no more than $450-500 to have them baught and installed. Also, If you do not know the shop I would order them yourself and put them in just to make sure that they are Strange gears. Ive been in a bad situation like that where I took my car to someone and they said that they put a double roller timing chain in and I pulled it off a month later and it was the stock chain. Order them yourself and dont spend more then $300 to have them installed. Almost any shop will charge cheaper than that.

its a lot of manual labor to install gears, so its gonna cost a good amount.

thats awesome. he works out of what looks like an old Costal station with a bunch of cars just sitting around where the pumps and stuff used to be. if youre going south on 611 from county line rd, its right before Lee's Hoagie House on the left.

I've seen that place before but i would never have figure out that it was a shop. I think i might stop by and see what he thinks he can do and for how much.
