Default Wheels and Tires

Out of all the wheel posts I've read, I sadly have not paid much attention to any of them. [:@]

So, I'm in desperate need of new tires, so I've decided to get new wheels, too while I'm at it. I'm looking at some chrome Saleens (the chrome 03-04 Cobra-style wheels are good too... choices choices!)... and I'm thinking of going with 18x10.5 wheels for the rear... I can't find any chrome Saleens that are 10.5 wide though, the widest I can find are 10... which is decent. Will 315's fit on the 18x10s? And at the same time, what should I go with for the front? 18x9? Also, the car is not lowered, so the 18s may fill the wheel well a little more... will I need a tuner or speedcal to adjust my speedometer if I change to 18" wheels?

Suggestions for tires? I'm in Michigan and we see a light amount of rain through summer, but my stang is my daily driver when there's no snow/salt, and will be driven in the rain if there is any. As fun as drag radials sound, I think I want to stay away from them for now due to the low mileage per set of tires... Also, can I even find 315/(?)-18? After doing a little searching, I can't find anything... but then again my internet is going up and down and I can't visit pages too fast. Some links, if possible, please.

Summary:
1. Will a 315 tire fit on an 18x10 wheel?
2. Do 315/(x)-18 tires exist? (Links, please)
3. If I switch to 18" wheels, will the speedometer be off at all?
4. Suggestions for tire brands? No D/Rs (unless you have a good argument as to why I should get them)

Thanks!

Edit: Also, will a 315 tire on a 18x10 or 18x10.5 wheel even fit on the rear of a 99-04 stang with no rubbing?

Default RE: Wheels and Tires

yes they do sell 315/35/18 but they are very pricey. But if iw as you i would just go 295/35/18. and 265 in the front. It is a very good setup. It is what the saleens carry
