DOHC Aviator

Hi Guys, </P>
Sorry to say I am A LS1 Camaro owner, however I just bought my wife a 2004 Aviator with the DOHC 4.6L engine. Where can I find information about bolt ons? For starters the throttle body looks like only maybe 65mm. Thanks</P>

Well the engine supposedly is putting out a little over 300+ HP and torque stock so I thought that while I'm still in warranty I could do some minor mods. The first things that I can see are that the throttle body and complete lid assembly look too small, and the exhaust from the headers and cat back look restricted. Camaros are my forte, however I think this car could benefit from some minor modding. After seeing the 2005 Stang I might even just jump ship.</P>

OUCH, wtf guys.</P>
Man there are some major dumbasses and haters on this board, probably do to the fact that LS1s own the cars they list in their sigs. (sadly)</P>
I would start with exaust, then a nice CAI (i like K+N, but so does everyone), then maybe look at the T/B-MAF. You can get a nice set at http://www.rpmoutlet.comby looking up parts for a 99 and up cobra. You may need to do some modifications to the parts or the vechical (I would think it would be very minor) </P>
Im a big fan of the aviators. Lots of power in a smaller (than a navigator) package. Sadly, they are going out of production later on in the year. (To many ego buying people taking navigators instead for the mines bigger than yours bs).</P>
SUVs with lots of power are cool. You may not be smoking V8 camaros/stangs, but I bet that suburban/tahoe driver gets a suprise. I have been in quite a few stoplight to stoplight races with my parents old 89 (back in Highschool/college) and you would be suprised what a crate motor can do in one of them heavy beasts (old motor cracked the block, oh it pays to have relitives that work for GM). </P>
BTW THANKS for buying an aviator. My company makes most of your dash parts (vents, most of the sliver colored stuff, its an injection molding company). Helping a little bit to pay my salary </P><edited><editID>2000GT4.6</editID><editDate>38027.2202893519</editDate></edited>
