Default build date

i need to find out the build date on my block. i tried ordering new rings but they have 3 different ones for 1985 ranging from $70 to $205. The engine is from a different car. so where can i research the serial # on the block to find the build date? there are 2 numbers. 1 is 5f15 and the other is e8se

Second charecter in date code is month, i.e. A=January, B=febuary tec.
First charecter is year.
'DIF'= Dearborn iron foundry
'CIF' = Cleaveland iron foundry.... yes, windors were also biult in Cleaveland......
