im looking into buying a set of geawrs for my 95gt. ive gotten a qoute for labor ($240) but the guy wants $200 for the gears. ive seen sum 3.73's going on ebay for around $80 but they are used. would there be a problem buying used gears that show a good wear pattern?

 

You should be able to buy new gears for less than $200.

Most of the time a used gear set will make noise, for them not to make noise they would have to be set identically to the car they came out of.

I dont see anything wrong with buying used gears if they're out of a vehicle that came with them from the factory. The stock gears that came out of my Cobra looked brand new with almost 60k on em...
