Default Keyless entry

Can anyone tell me how to program a remote for the keyless entry system in a 1999 3.8L V6?
Thanks

I just joined this forum. My daughter just bought this car yesterday! This was my first post. I was hoping to find a quick answer to a very simple question. I actually found the answer by digging a little deeper. No need to go to a Ford dealership! I use other forums for my other cars and have asked lots of questions for things not to obvious or easily found, the members are always eager to help with answers and advice. This kind of reply makes me wonder about this forum![sm=dontgetit.gif]

sorry to come off like that, I believe you may have taken me the wrong way... I have had a problem with my stock keyless entry and I went to a local car audio shop. they told me to visit a dealer. i replaced the whole stock system with a viper system. but dont think this forum is bad were all great people

It's a weird combo to program them. Different years and style of remotes program differently. I had a couple different cars (fords) and they were both different. Had to cycle the ignition key 5 times real fast , then you had to do something and then something else. It's a chain of events that has to be followed. Sorry, can't remember exactly. Maybe someone else will. If not, like already posted, go see your local Henry J dealer.

Good luck though
