id say the only time they're really great are for road trips, otherwise like said above they trap moisture and F your paint

i, personally, think they look like utter crap. however, i just wish i could find something that didnt look ugly.... but that kept the bugs off my bumper/hood. i drive about 75 miles home (one way) each weekend. going about 85 the entire way kills lots of bugs with the car.

they got that clear paint protection they put on ur front bumper and like 1/3 the way up your hood and it withstands a 1x1x1" object at over 100mph without any damage to the paint. amazing stuff, but on the pricey side. Its basically clear on ur paint, and all you really notice is a line on ur hood where it ends... thats my advice if u want something thats not ugly but does a dam good job of keeping rock chips and everything else off your paint )

that could very well be it, or at least something similar to it. I dont know the actual name of the stuff, but the local tint shop installs it and its pretty amazing. They can also do the front of the mirrors and also the part under the door handle that always gets those lil scratches from fingernails, etc. Both decent ideas...
