Hello all~
I was wondering if anyone here owns a Mustang Cobra - R. I used to work for a guy at Sears Hardware that kept telling me he had a bada** automatic 99 cobra R mustang. Never saw it, or pictures, so I don't believe him. I do know they exist. I was wondering what is special about them, how they come standard, how many HP they have and if you guys have them modded and such.

93, 95, and 00 cobra R are the only ones out there...

no cobras were ever made in auto... the 2000 R had a 5.4L DOHC V8 mated to a 6spd manual with 385hp & 385tq. All the Rs came with no a/c, no radio, cloth interior, rear seat delete, no fogs, etc etc

 

wow so my 'ex-boss' was a big bullsh***er... I kinda figured.

yeah, he never could bring it up. Said he would bring it to work about 200 times. He was an a**. Hence I no longer work there! LOL

He also had this pretty nice looking V6 ford F 150, like a 1998. Rims, exhaust etc. He always said it had NOS and a blower. One time he popped the hood and I saw a CAI and tha'ts it. I laughed.


Anyone had the privilage of driving a Cobra R?

in 2000 only 300 were made good luck with that search
