Default General Keepup $50 bux in STUF

Hey guys, welp its that time again when I make my car all happy. Oil happens every 3000 miles.

I bought Valvoline Max Life 5w30 Motor oil and a BOSCH oil filter for her. I also bought a set of six AUTOLITE plat plugs for her cause hers are the factory originals!!!! I bought some Anti-Seize lubricant for them too so that when I change them again they wont be a pain in the *** like most are. I also got a new thermostat cause mines not working right, and a can of Berryman B12 to clean my crankcase and put in my fuel for my injectors and fuel system. Im also going to clean my Air filter, if its too far gone then im going to go buy another one, it has about 8,000 miles on it and maybe 50 miles of dirt road.

After all this I expect to gain back 5-10hp and increase in fuel economy by about 3-5mpg.

What does everyone out there think? the 3-5mpg is realistic though, I have always notticed that kind of difference when I change the oil.

Does anyone suggest anything else that I am forgetting to do on my car?

I dont think that you will gain even that in horsepower. You will get a few miles from the newer more efficient parts but thats it.

I change the mustangs oil every 1,000 miles and the other cars 2,500-3,000 miles.

mmm, you have one loved Stang. Mind you, most stangs you see on the road probably are still running on the same oil from the factory x_x I feel bad for most cars because people dont understand that your car needs ALOT of attention to keep it happy.

My grandma doesnt understand why I am changing my oil every 3000 miles. She just says "My honda never needed to have its oil changed that often" Mind you, she would only go to have her car serviced every 6 months, thus the death of ALL of her cars. She always bitches about all the little things going wrong with my car.... My Clutch, my rubber filler neck grommet, my dash lights, my multi switch, my seat motor, Well this is a 9yo. car wtih 142,000 miles on it. Course things are going to need to be replaced on it, sorry I didnt buy a brand new freaking Honda.

Anyways, needless to say she thinks i should only do this crap every 6 months or so, bah, by that time i will have 20,000 miles on it. My car is mint because I made it this way, When I got her(my stang)the paint was in serios need of a good was and many waxes (Maguires and Turtle Wax and Nu Finish in combo's) and the interior needed some cleaning. Things started breaking immediatly and I needed to service her cause it had been a year since her last, got her a new air filter too. Just think, if i didnt care so much, this car would be broken on the side of the road somewhere....

I have a big problem with people who neglec their cars and run them into the ground and then get pissy at people like us who service our cars like clockwork.

The only stangs as you described are the ones that are headed to the junk yard.I dont know anyone who treats their cars to a servicing every 6 months.Im under the hood of my vehicles every day i drive them because i like to monitor everything.Let your grandma bitch her heart out as long as you continue to service it it will last forever.

Hell its to the point in my mustang after building it ground up i can almost tell you how many miles are on the oil by its smell. My gramps says something like your grandma except he doesnt see why a clean motor is so important and says im going to take the paint off washing and waxing it so much.My attitude and comments are "I paid for it and its mine so ill do as i want with it"!

Just tell your grandma that the fluids are like your blood if they go bad you die plain and simple! Also tell her that comparing hondas and fords are like apples and oranges.

Ya no kidding, I wish she would just leave me alone.... LOL
God you think your grandpa gives ya a hard time about washing it? I wash it once a week and she flips out everytime saying that she NEVER washed hers and it looked good.... BAH like hell, it didnt have any clear coat left LOL She always says crap like "You could be using your time better" Of course if i neglected my car she would bitch about that too.... LOL

Old crotchidy people suck She also hates how I drive. Here in Sacramento you have to drive agressivly to get anywhere.... "Gee sorry grandma, i had my turn signal on for 3 minutes and the ******* just looked at me and rode next to me, of course I am going to downs**t, set you back in your seat and fly by his lame ***. (happened today and happens often) In sacramento it seems like everyone cant drive, the only good drivers are those who care about their cars, go figure. In Redding its nice cause everyone is a pretty good driver up there (except when it snows cause its rare) I know how to handle snow without chains, others are just like "Oh theres 1/2" of snow on the ground, oh well my car has All wheel drive I will be ok..... Speed Limit 55, ok AHHHHHHHH IM SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL" Dumbass people..... I drove my stang up to one of the Hat Creek Campgrounds on Christmas day, the day when a large snow storm came in... I was driving on 2" of snow, I was just fine, only time I slid was when I turned around cause it was snowing worse, I did a very slow U-Turn in the highway and when I stopped the car slid sideways to the shoulder about an inch, then I went on my marry way I thought it was cool cause I was the only one out there and the only tracks were mine ^_^ A Mustang, In the Snow, Better then your SUV. MUWAHAHAHA
