HELP!!!
Hi guys! I recently bought a 91 mustang from a guy who said the car was in PERFECT driving/running condition. We paid $1700 for it. On the way home, the car died and we had to have it towed to our body shop. The mechanic told us the transmission was shot and the car was undrivable. what can I do about this? The seller said he would give us $200 towards the cost, but you and I both know it will be almost $700 to rebuild the transmission, or atleast $500 to buy another one and $400 to have it installed. Has this ever happened to anyone? Can you point me in the right direction in order to get my money back or take him to court? Thanks!!

RE: HELP!!!
Unless you have documentation from him stating the condition, you probably don't have much chance. It is a 15 year old car after all. It is possible you know that it was just a coincidence. Did you drive the car before the purchase. If so, was it OK? If you have a family lawyer, maybe give them a call and run it past them.
Hope it turns out well for you.

RE: HELP!!!
Thanks! He has decided that what he can do is give me a T5 tranny for free. is this a good idea? My car is auto, so i would have to do a complete conversion. that would be soooo pricey!!! Maybe i could just take the tranny, sell it, and use the $ to pay for the fix. what do you guys think?
