Injectors, Mass Air , Computer ????
I have a 1994 Mustang GT 5.0 I am installing a cold air intake, granatelli mass air edelbrock 70 mm throttle body, edelbrock performer 2 upper and lower and 30# ford racing injectors tomorrow. Will I need to have the computer sent out to be redone? if so where can i send it too? and how much around does this cost? I dont wanto throw all these great parts at my car and have it not be able to recognise whats going on! Thanks alot guys!!
your mass air will need to be calibrated for the 30# inj. that is the way the Granatelli's work what does it say on top of the meter for the cal# or you could get a tuner of some sort or just get a new mass air cal. for 30#. Why are you gone with 30# are you gone to add lots of upgrades in the future?
yea i baught the mass air specifically for the 30# fuel injectors it also has a cold air tune for my bbk cold air.. i plan to do alot in the near future.. i now have basically every bolt on there is... i am building a 347 stroker (86 block) i hope to have it done for next year.. i just dont know if i am going to need to have the computer reprogramed ???

You just need a Calibration tube. 31 bucks on Summit.

so when i throw the 347 in , i should have the cars comp reprogrammed? somoene told me in order for the car to recognise the new injectors and the mass air and all that it may need to be reprogramed, so i figured id ask,,
You can get one of those custom burned chip jobs for a fraction of the price of a new computer. I'd go that way, you can basically tell the manufacturer your entire setup and the chip will send the new signals to the computer.

Its best to get it tuned by a reputable shop with a dyno. Mail order chips and off the shelf tunes will usually be better than your stock tune, but arnt always best for your specific application.
