Default X or H pipe?

which is better? more horse? better sound? does it make a difference? me and my friend had an argument abou this the other day and im hoping im right... i sed the x pipe would be less restrictive and more powerful...common sense right? i hope so

personally I do not know the specs but i have a mac off road h pipe i love it. i also have mac headers and the sound is great and the performance was an awesome gain. mac is good quality and fairly priced too

If you have emissions and don't want to worry about changing the midpipe all the time, get catted. If you have emissions and don't care about changing the midpipe every so often, get off road with some MILS.
If you don't have emissions, get off road and again get MILS.

X makes more power up high... H will give some better torque down low. The difference is very minimal and you should pick the one that you think sounds better.

Yeah, gt96 pretty much summed it up. The power difference is very small so get it on what you want sound wise. I personally like H-pipes better. Deep is the way a mustang should sound.

I have an H on mine and its raspy and loud but i love it, its a lot louder then stock. Ive never heard an X before but if there more raspy then an H I prolly wouldnt like it.

Its the other way around. H is deep, X is more raspy. H pipes alltogether sound better than X pipes. (IMO) catted or non catted.

wow 2k1 that sounds really sweet....u guys have almost completely changed my mind into getting an h ...when i was leaning more towards an x. ok so now that the sound and power is settled... what about price?
