Default nice kill????

i constantly pulled on an 04 jaguar s-type last night on three seperate runs. -=)

i would get more then 3/4 car length ahead and pulling and this is with slipping on my first- second shift lifting the throttle and hitting it again .
sorry if i dont make any sence but i have my 3 years old nefew on my lap bothering me ..
i think if my 1st-2nd would have been smoother and figuring that i was babying first gear do to the weather (cold) i would have pulled considerable ahead.

anyone got stats on these jaguars.

i dont know but i had a new jag xkr try to mess with me on the beltway. i'm not gonna lie, he was quick and kept up to me but everytime he would try to speed around me, i would dust him. not knocking them though, he kept up with me kind of close up to 145mph...i know,,,that was stupid man...it was later and hardly any traffic

It all depends on which Jaguar S-Type you were "playing" with. The S-Type R is the faster one, but 0-60 on that one is still over 6 seconds, the regular S-Type's 0-60 is about 7 seconds.

I have no idea what the stats r on these cars, nor what kind it was, I think there r quite a few variations, but I toasted a newer 911 carrera on the NJ turnpike, he sped past me as I was doing about 35 coming off an on ramp, I caught up and past him at about 120-130, and it was goodnight from there, I'm sure if we got up real high he would have past me again, but he stopped shortly past 140... I don't really know anything about those cars, but I always thought they were fast as hell, never thought I would toast one in a stang. I think these new stangs deserve some cred.

damn, Consumer Reports should update their numbers, maybe they posted the numbers for the regular v8, not the Type-S R. Yeah, the Type-S R should be around 5.1-5.3, but you don't really see many of them, I don't think I've even seen one here in Long Island. Actually I've never seen a driver in a Jaguar around here that wanted to "play".

2004 Jag type S stats

3.0L: 235hp, 216ft-lbs., 3777 lbs
4.2L: 294hp, 303ft-lbs., 3874 lbs
4.2L R: 390hp, 399 ft-lbs., 4046 lbs

You probably raced a 4.2 N/A with a good driver, -OR- a type R, with a really bad driver.

no actually its was a jaguar S-type-R because i know the guy who owns it, and I was in it that night, we went to a club in the city and then he drove me to my car at the end of the night and from that point on after i warmed up my ride, i was racing him on hylan blvd in SI all the way home..

it is definantly a TYpe -R because of the supercharger sound it makes and the little RED R in the back right corner and the screaming jaguar face on the hood, plus the way that thing pulled.

why do i have to prove the type of car it is lol..
i spanked it in my 28k stang .. you guys should be happy.. thats 1 up for the good guys

i feel the exact same way. it is fun spanking a $100K car with our mustangs. this one was the little red R thing in the bottom right of the trunk too. i saw it as he shot past me to begin with which is what started the 145mph zip down the beltway...
