Default Flowmaster Install

Just installed my new Flowmaster mufflers, however I'm having a small alignment issue with the drivers side muffler.

It seems to fit too high and when you shake the muffler on the hangers it bumps against the rear hanger/frame. I adjusted the crossover pipe where it connects to the half-pipe, but that only took care of a small amount. My best guess is the Flowmaster hangers need to be bent so the muffer fits better?

Anyone else run into this issue?

I had a little problem installing my SLP's in the same manner. Though actually I think the driver's side was a little canted to the left... So I just got under there and started loosening and shifting around and then snugged it up and it seemed to look even. I did this a few days ago and haven't checked it since.

I had the same problem on the left side. I tried bending the hangers every which way and just couldn't get it perfect. Someone once posted a tip on adjusting the H pipe bracket or something, but i haven't had the time to look into it. I also had the banging problem, I stuffed a 2" x 2" x 1" think rubber block (vibration isolator) in between the frame and the pipe and it solved the banging problem. It's a little straighter now plus it won't melt.

I did adjust the H-Pipe bracket, which helped with left/right alignment. I'm prob gonna take it to the local muffler shop and have them adjust it. I'm tired of screwing with it. [:@] But on the plus side they do sound very good!

Had the same thing with my flowmasters. I had to do a little bending on the hangers and actaully cut an inch off of one so it did not rattle and rub the rear valence.
