Default Best buying time.

So I would like to get a poll going of when was the best time to buy the Mustang. Doesnt matter 05 or 06 but if you could tell us when you bought and how much. I know some are modest but it could help someone looking to buy. And hell Im curious if I got lucky or just average. I'll start off got my 05 GT used with 800 miles on it in December of 05 for 26,500. How bout you?

I got mine in November of 05, $29,500. All the bells and whistles minus the red interior.

In my opinion, the best time to buy a new car is later in the year, after the new models have come out (in this case, the '07s.) The dealership will be trying to unload all the older models to make room for the new. Twice now I have seen a buddy of mine get new GTs for 17-18k around these times.

I have been looking for a good thread like this, seeing as I'm planning on getting my GT soon. A dealer ship has a 06 Premium GT with 3K miles for $26K and I thought that wasnt too bad, could possibly talk him down a bit. What do you guys think of this?

Seems a bit high. I paid 30,400 for an 06 GT vert wih everything but the shaker 1000 and auto. Figure out what the invoice is on the car and you should end up paying right around that. For a car with 3k miles, quite a bit less since, like I said, you can get one with 0 miles at invoice or slightly less.
