Default 36 hp

so im just browsing around and i found about 30 hp.
Windage tray kit-12hp=$80
7 quart oil pan -12hp=$250
water pump pulley-12hp-$300

these are all resonable priced and i have considerd buying them. later i would buy carbon fiber driveshaft for $900 (hlf the weight and 15hp). Anyway who knows if the hp gained is correct. If someone has these mods then post the results. please.

it says 15-18 hp at 6000rpms. thats good enough for me. $80 for 15 ponies... done.

More importanly is the sump 7 quart oil pan really worth it at 300 sum dollars.

The 7 quart oil pan I doubt will give you any HP increase. The windage tray would help but only at higher RPM than you will be turning, above 6000.

Yeah, I don't see how ANY of those numbers can be correct. And just a pulley on the water pump? Better be from a reputable company or it is likely not tested and you'll overheat your pony (Not to mention you can get the mezier electric for that price). As far as the HP benefits of a larger oilpan?! Huh?!!?

You MIGHT get 12 HP TOTAL if you do all of those mods INCLUDING the driveshaft.

the windage tray does add hp. the pan most likely not. we ran the tray on all our racing engines. what the pan will do is keep the oil near the pick up. it has one way trap doors that force the oil to drain towards the pick up. this is helpful for road racing and circle track. thay do make drag pans also.

A windage tray will add hp to a car that doesn't come from the factory with one. '05+ 4.6's have a factory windage tray. You won't gain any hp from an oil pan, but increased oil capacity will never hurt.

I think if all your getting for $300 is a water pump pulley you should look elsewhere that is about the price of an electric water pump and they don't even net 12hp. A set of underdrive pulleys (both the crank and water pump) isn't anywhere close to $300.

A windage tray can't be installed with the engine in the car. Sounds kinda like a big deal to me.
