when l get my 06 mustang GT l would like to put some wide meats on. how wide is factory tires?

l would like to go with 315/35/18s or 335/35/18s.. will they fit?

The stock GT tires are 235/55 for the 17's. Iam pretty sure there is no way 315 or 335 would fit, thats the same size on the Ford GT and those tires are gigantic.

maybe they wont fit on stock wheels but what if l get a good american racing torque thrust wheels? 315s do fit on those wheels.. or do you mean 315s wonth fit on the body? will it rub??

damn 315s do fit on my 97 FIREBIRD FORMULA (LT1) wtf. is wrong with ford?

 

there def is wheels that will fit the 315 or 335 width tires but I am pretty sure there is no way in hell they are going to fit on a Stang. I think they will rub unless you want them to not stick out past the fender which i doubt. I am ordering 275's by the way.

 

I run 285/40/18 no problem. Someone is running 315 on 18 inch wheels. It just depends on the rim offset, whether you can fit the 315. The 335 will not fit I understand.

 

Interesting, yet another troll post about Ford from Doodad. Maybe you should just stick with your Firebird, I mean there's nothing more important in life than cramming ridiculously wide tires under your car. Don't forget the air shocks.

let me tell you this, in my office l have at least 5 1/18 scale mustangs and one 1/6 scale ford 4.6 liter sohc engine model kit and right behind my desk l have a huge 2005 mustang GT photo.

my wife is working for ford motor co. as an operations manager and my wife's father was chef vice presidents at ford motor co. (retired in 2004) so l am into ford maybe more than you..

l am just pissed because l couldnt get what l wanted.

 

this is great.. l think we found the car..

it is 2006 mustang GT deluxe coupe, dark metallic gray, 5 speed. with upgraded options (l dont know what it is) 18 inch rims.. so which means l can go with 315s.. this is great.. l will go 275s front and 315s nittos rear.. and l will see how american racing torqu thrusts ll looks on these cars..

Are you sure you want 315 in the back and 275 in the front?? 315 in the back is too wide, but 275 in the front is just ridiculous.
