First Ticket
I was driving home, drunk and pissed that some girl didn't leave with me (I think she passed out in the bathroom). Exited the freeway staying in third and gunned it to the next light (which was red). Slowed down only enough to drop it into second and punch it through the right turn on red and kick the *** end out two lanes. Eventually about a half mile down the road, a cop that had been trying to catch up since the freeway exit creeped his way up and did the blinky lights/siren/loudspeaker thing. So, for being drunk, reckless driving, and ignoring a traffic signal, all I got a ticket for was going 1-10 mph over the speedlimit and failing to fully stop while making a right turn at a red light. Two very minor offenses considering the circumstances. Needless to say I'm trying to watch it now.
what did you think everyone was going to say???
Your really lucky btw... Every time i get pulled over, I'm always asked if I've been drinking even though i never drink and drive. I guess New Jersey is dif then vegas...

I can see why that chick climbed out the bathroom window LOL. If you've had a few to many the last thing you want to do is draw attention by not stopping fully at lights and going sideways. You were lucky not to have gotten nailed for DWI. That's one thing cops take pretty seriously just about everywhere.

It was 3am in Las Vegas suberbs...seems to be the norm around here.

Indeed they do. I've never had a cop ask me if I had been drinking. I guess the general rule is a cop will ask you two or three questions. Based on your response time, the speech of the response, and the apparent honesty of your response, they will not subject you to a field sobriety test or breathilizer. I wouldn't say I was ****faced, but I definitely wasn't sober, but I was scared enough to be perfectly coherent.
I have serious anger management issues...one of these days it will catch up to me if I don't cool it.
