Default More car problems!

So last week my car died, and it had to do with a sensor failing. well this morning now my battery light is on and the dash says "check charging system". it just starting to **** me off some. since last week i've put 800 miles on the car, and now this crap. well, i needed to get to work, it seemed to be running great still, so i just backed it into a stop at work, and i'll give my dealer a call at lunch to see when i can get it in...i looked at the TSB's and the lastest one gave this description "Dtc p1000 may not clear in high altitude conditions"...well i'm in indiana, so i dont consider it high altitude, and i have no way of checking to see what Dtc p1000 code is about. sorry, just needed to vent. anyone with any insite please let me know...back to work i guess.

Well, after work friday, it wouldnt start. so i called road side. well, i work in Goshen Indiana (for now) and pretty much live close to Ft wayne, and thats where i spend my weekends. so i wanted the car towed there. well, road side only pays for 35 miles, and it was probably close to 50 miles i'd guess. well after being on hold for 10 minutes, they tell me they can't find a tow truck that's under their contract...so i told them i had to get going (had a ride coming to pick me up). they called me back a few mintues later saying they found a tow truck out of contract and it would be there in 30 minutes. So it got picked up...i wanted it to go to Dimension Ford North in ft wayne, as the shop is open on saturdays from 8am to noon. well they F@&%ing road side had it towed to Dimension Ford West (not open on saturday's). well, i get a call from North this morning asking if i was going to bring the car in?!?! so thats when i find out what road side did. GREAT! when i called it was a big mess, them saying i said to take it there, me saying that i never ever said the word "west", so they should go pick it up and take it to north NOW! they said no, i talked to a superviser and got the same thing, called North back, and the service lady there was really nice, and she called road side to try and get it...NOT ever she could get them to go...at this point its almost 10am, so she leveled with me saying they probably couldnt get it done now, even if its something simple. i'm just so pissed off rigth now... TWICE IN ONE WEEK MY CAR BREAKS DOWN AND STRANDS ME. i haven't had this many problems with any car i've ever owned since my first car, and it had ton's of problems, but hey, it had like 150,000 miles, haha. but this one has less then 12,000, it only made it 600 miles in a week before breakdown again. ok ok, i know i'm bitching, but this was my treat to myself after getting my degree...and it just seems to be going to ****. well, i'll stop now..time to hope on the old bike(cycle), i'm hungry! haha

Default RE: More car problems! *UPDATE*

Ok, update on this problem. I've been without a car since Friday. They couldnt figure out at first what was wrong, said they were going to call Ford on it, as they haven't seen anything like this. My car wouldnt hold a charge about every other time, so it would work, then wouldnt and so on. Well the alternator was drawing power from the batter when the car was off i guess, so its getting replaced today, hope to have my car back soon. But they did give me an 95 F-150 to drive...pretty nice for a truck. i'm not really into trucks all that much, but still cool.

Sorry for your troubles, you shouldn't have to go through all this with a new car. Very frustrating!

Start tracking the days out of service, and do a little research. I don't know the IN law off the top of my head, but it's possible that you may be working towards a Lemon Law claim, a nice option to have in your back pocket--and mention to the dealer--if you continue to have problems.

Again, good luck and keep us posted.

Default RE: More car problems! *UPDATE*

hmm... i have had a few troubles myself! Within the first month i got rear ended at a stop light. had that taken care of, found out a few weeks later that the paint wasnt right on it, they told me to take it in and they will fix it, and i still havent gotten around to doing that (lifetime guarantee on the paint) Next problem, every once and a while i would go to put up both the windows with the auto switch, and the passenger side would go half way up and then go back down. So I brought that in last week to have looked at when I got an oil change and tire rotation. Now the car's pulling to the left a very little bit. They had to order a new window switch so i have to take it back in this weekend to get those problems fixed. Next problem--yesterday, i get out, go to lock it and it wouldnt lock, i tried like...10 times. I get back in, and turn the key to the on position, no power at all to the car itself. Im like.. wtf? Take the key out, try it again, Turns on fine, and everything resets. And my latest problem, I have a little clunking problem in the rear end. Don't know what that is. Gotta ask about that as well. Ohyea, i also have the problem with the fuel pump hesitation after cruise whole thing...ya....any suggestions on the clunking in the rear end?
