In addition to the turbo kit what else do you suggest purchasing i am just looking at just a baseline kit is it complete as is or should i upgrade fuel pumps? Alos for the tuning do they make a tune for you to upload with an SCT or something. I am all over this kit when the funds find their way into my account.

you need a custum tune. Also, you will get everything with this kit to get you to the low 12 high eleven mark.

A stock engine at 11-12 psi will break.

with a PH turbo with 9-9.5lb boost you're getting similar rwhp/trq #'s and making low 12's, possibly 11's with suspension work and I'm sure the Hellion is the same case really.

I know that for the Hellion kit as offered by Delk, you needed a Diablo MAFia and a BAP added to the kit and the aforementioned tune and tuner are pretty important (I'm pretty sure the base model Hellion came with a 62mm turbo and the 39lb injectors). Moved the price up from the advertised 4995$ to just under 6k which is pretty much inline with it's competitors (like the PH kit which is 5550 with all of the necessary components listed above, give or take, and a 67mm turbo)

Not to say that a car running single digit boost isn't going to break the engine, but with a safe tune, I'd say you've got some time to save up and get the internals done later if you wanna up boost. Nothing's for certain but that's what I've seen on numerous forums talking about when the engine pops. Getting a turbo made me exceptionally paranoid (just ask the guys doing the work on my car in October about the volume of emails I sent them on all of the potential pitfalls of adding a power adder), so my research for the last several months has been pretty exhaustive.

After much research I ordered the powerhouse kit. The powerhouse has all you need including the handheld (XCal2) tuner with a tune. I heard nothing but good comments on the kit quality and ease of installation. Another thing that I like about the kit is you don't loose any ground clearance. The only drawback is that you can't use the cats for those states with smog inspection.

Obviously, I'll still take my car to a tuner to make sure my A/F ratio is right on the spot. I also ordered the CMCV delete plates and the K-member brace with torque limiters. I'm hoping to have everything installed by next week.

Vader, thanks for the write up/review. I'm also going this route when I save up enough money. I've emailed hellion a few times and everytime, Jon Urist himself responded. He was very helpful with my questions and seems like a stand up guy. I would definitely trust him with my money.

I wonder how the kit is doing. It would be cool for some pics.
