Default 2006 M3 Kill

YES YES!
Wahooo.
I killed my buddies '06 M3 with my '06 Mustang GT from a 2nd gear roll. It was close, but I beat him clean by a half car length. The great part is that the only mods I have is a drop in K&N and a pro 5.0 shifter. Everything was perfect, he told me I beat him with a very fare run. This is a great day for Ford. I wish I had the race on film, but I am going to give him a rematch and it will be posted.

nice job; i wasnt sure how we would do against that car. Since they do have a lil more hp but not as much tq. I've seen one of them in action; very fast cars.

Is there a 2006 M3? Or are you talking about the E46 M3? I know the next model M3 is supposed to be a 400 hp V-8. Not sure on the size but I think its going to be a 5.0(like the E39 M5) Nice kill one way or another. I havent ran into one myself but I understand those can be a ***** to take down. Especially on the hwy. They hit 186 w/o a limiter.

I thought the M3 was just getting a TT setup..

very cool!!!

I did the same against an E46 I came across a couple months ago. I have the brenspeed C&L intake and tune (actually had a mild tune loaded that day as I was still "testing" )

So first I ran this M3 coupe in second gear and let out at 5K rpm for a stop light. I started a fender behind him and had him by 1/2 car just by end of second.

Then we followed eachother onto rt 80. From a roll in second going about 30-35mph we lined up dead even and went at it. The stang immediatly took him by close to a car by the end of second, we stayed in it till around 130 mph. I had 3-4 solid cars on him by then, and the gap was opening slowly.

yea, from a roll your weight difference means almost nothing. And with a CAI+Tune, you easily make up that lost HP and widen the torque difference.
