I'm inclined to say...."Who cares?" I mean you were obviously driving like a jackass and you should go to wreck exotics and see what happens when you crash at those speeds......

you need to list what your rear-end gear ratio is..
and what tire size you have.

Assuming that you have stock 235/55/17 and 3.55 gears.. then you should hve been around 184mph... but that is not possible due to drag limitation of your car with near factory power.. so i'm guessing you have either different tires, different rear-end.. or just aren't reading the tach right..
Most stangs in near-factory trim should not do much more than about 160 or so...

5th gear is not speed gear, it is just cruise gear.. our cars are speeding up untill the top of 4th then you shift 5th and it slows down instead of speeding up and if you keep your foot on the floor, it would take forever to gain some..
