Hey Wally, how do you like your saleen S/C? I've been thinking about installing one on my '07. Mine is pretty much bone stock with the exception of the CAI. Any pics of your setup. You have the saleen airbox cover right?

Also do you have the stock gearing in your stang?

I got everything from JDM. The intake is the C&L racer JDM sells also. They have a couple nice packages with everything you need to make it crazy fast. I was thinking, "Oh my god, I can't believe I just spent all this money." But the first time I got to drive it when it was all done it was worth it! Now there's no way I can go back lol. Very different car now in a good way! The gears are stock which doesn't matter to me when I'm putting over 400 hp to the ground lol. It's neat to get the tires to chirp when your already doing 40 and 50 mph. And mine is an automatic! The firmer shifts help with that also. The tune is part of the reason the car is different now. Shifts are much more firm and jerks your head back when you get into it. I put the solid engine lowering mounts in also and can feel more vibration through my feet etc, but I like that too, because it feels more like a muscle car that way. People say my exhaust sounds louder too. Must be because I'm forcing more air through the engine. I could ramble on all day about my car lol. I really look forward to driving it whenever I can. Knowing that I have the power under the hood whenever I want it. I feel like a kid again lol!

If I can figure out how to post pics I will. By the way, sorry for kidnapping the post lol. I will be quiet now

ORIGINAL: CrazyAl

As far as I know, the ONLY difference in the suspension between the GT500 and a normal GT is tha the GT500 has a larger diameter sway bar in the rear. They are both 31 spline axles, 8.8" Ford with a Traction-Lok limited slip diff. I would think that the GT500 would have stiffer springs in the front to compensate for the heavier engine, but I can't find any information to confirm that.

Why would you want to spend an extra 20-30 K for a supercharger and 6-speed? You wouldn't. You can get a T-56 and a supercharger for $10,000 added to your stock GT. You'd buy the GT500 if you wanted the prestige of owning a Shelby.
Could the 5.4L Iron Block with forged internals be considered also?
