Default LSD question

were all the '05 onwards GT's fitted with limited slip diffs as standard? I know they have traction control and I have tried the search function, am just trying to clarify the question with another '05 GT owner over here in England
thanks

I think all S197's were fitted with LSD standard. Auto 3.31 - Manual 3.55 gearing until 07 where 3.31 was standard for all and 3.55 was optional.

ugh

all V-8 mustangs since 1985ish have had the ford crap-lok in them

05-06 5 speeds were 3.55s
05-06 autos were 3.31s

it should be 4.30s standard on 5 speeds and 4.10s on autos though, damn ford[:@]

A 3.55 limitted slip was a $100 option on my car. If the standard 3.31's were LS or not I am unsure. I have a buddy that bought a used 05 V6 5 speed and it has an open diff.

Stormbringer is correct - V6s are 7.5" open diff. Menace is also right on the gearing.

pre 85s had the tlok as well, but they had the 7.5, ford changed to the 8.8 cause they knew the 7.5 tlok wouldnt handel more then 200 rw/ft/lbs
