I did the stage 3 cams a couple of months ago. I am pleased with them. I dynoed 345/332 after custom dynotuning for the cams. All in all it was a 39 hp gain. I dropped the idle to 545 and the rumble is great. I posted a clip but the audio stunk. Just got a new camera, so I will be doing another soon.

Music City's is the highest I've seen.

You tell me what else we can do! (on a budget)

I've got $34k in my car and mods.

How much hp do you want? How much money do you want to spend?

I've got enough.

There's always someone who has more...

You do not want to know the install cost.. It will scare you off.
Lets just say 10-15hrs is a common charge for install time.

Sine MusiccityGT gained 39hp with the stage 3 I'm really going to have to get my rear in gear and order some cams and ported heads.
Hell just a 39hp increase from cams would make me a very happy mustang driver. That would put me at around 360rwhp. Only 40rwhp from my goal of 400.

I got charged about $550 for the install because he had to change the valve springs (very time consuming).

Yeah - my idle is about 950 when it's warmed up. (950-1000)

Go to Comp Cams web site and read the recommended idle speed.

I still have good oil pressure and adequate charge rate even with the UDP's at 545 rpm's. Being a stick, the car is not at load at an idle. It sounds wicked. You can really hear the cams loping bigtime at a lower idle. RUFDRAFT - If you only paid $550, you got a heck of a deal! I did mine myself, but the going rate is $1200ish. normally. I strongly suggest getting a custom tune for the cams. I picked up 10 more horses from my old custom tune with cams after tuning for them. I have since added a 1 piece D/S, Fidanza flywheel and a Centerforce D/F clutch. Got to get it back on the dyno. Should be a good gain now over the last dyno of 345/332 with the lighter rotational mass!

Can't wait to see your new numbers!

Agreed on the custom tune. I picked up 30 hp after the dyno tune.
