My local shop is talking me into getting the CMCV delete plates,

1. for HP gains and 2. because I keep getting an error code that is part of the CVCM's

I am game for this mod, I just want to know how much work I am getting into?

Iwork on my bike all the time but have very little experience with my car.

 

One of my friends did an install in a little more than an hour.(With no instructions btw) I can ask him if you want.

Install is easy, I didnt find any instructions that didnt suck but its easy enough you dont need them.

On the steeda install instructions they say to remove the fuel rails completly but there is no need to do that. Just uplug them then flip the pass side over to the drivers side.

 

Why are the steedas like 3 times that of the FRPP?

 

I would bet it has alot to do with the manufactoring costs. Steeda machines them from a billet. While ford already has the casting for the stock ones. They just dont drill the holes in the for the shafts.

 

Steeda also chargers a lot for average parts.

 

But overall there is no diffrence in production right ?

 

And Steeda has been selling these for a while now. I think FRPP saw how much they were getting for them and decided to get a piece of the action. Plus, "Steeda's charge motion plates are available with tapped nitrous fitting holes for custom nitrous applications".
