Default Vortech Superchargers

Gents,

I just ordered a Vortech S/C w/ charge cooler. Anyone have any expericence with them on the 05+ GTs?

Also going to add Magna Flow Manga Pak, Steeda suspendsion mods, SCT Tune on a Mustang Dyno. Tuner doing the work estimates400 - 425RWHP depending on how agressive I ask him to tune.....
Hoping for a low 12 second street car....

Congrats. I'm about two months away from ordering a Vortech kit for my sedan. Mind if I ask what kit you went with for you Stang and how much you paid? Did you go with air/air or air/water for the cooler?

I am getting a Votech 4FU218-020SQ-L, I paid 4370 w/o the Diablo tuner, my shop prefers the SCT (add $350). Then about 15 hours of labor. I never would dream of self installing. If I remember correctly the Vortech system has a Air/Water self contained charge cooler. I went with the Vortech because of the reliable reputation it has and the fact that most of the time I'll be keeping the car under 2500 RPM when there is lit boost. This shoud increace the longevity of my motor (from what I have read). Doing a bunch of other mods as well. Swaybars F/R, Springs, shifter - all Steeda, MagaPack exchaust, some bracing as the car is a drop top, and he'll dyno tune on a Mustang MD1100-SE Dyno. Should have the car back next Saturday.

Yeah, but then you have to fill the bottle and worry about your sprayers clogging. Personally, I'll takethe evenly torqued (andlower psi)twin screw induction for a little bit more dough.

STKJOCK have fun when you get it back, rwhp #'syou can up to450-500 rwhp but with the stoch bottom end,you canstay around 450 and be ok, just make sure your getting enough fuel at the higher rpm's. Enjoy

Have you considered what clutch you will end up getting? Not that yours is going to fail immediately, but it seems it woud dramatically shorten it's life. I think most the guys on here have just kept their stock set up and are just waiting for the clutch to get worn out before they replace it. A buddy of mine has a TT and is ordering a Spec Stage 3.
