Default jba headers

I am thinking about get the jba lt headers and there matching off road h pipe. What else am I goin to have to get with this? Like, do I need O2 sensor extensions? I am getting a tune so the rear ones will be turned off. Is there anything else I need to know about these headers. If I just get the regular 409 ss, how long before they start to rust? I don't really care about looks as much, but I don't want them rusting off the car either, lol. Thanks!

The headers come with all the necessary installation hardware such as bolts, gaskets and 02 extensions. A lot of people stick with the stock gaskets as well as they have proven to be one of the best ones used. As far as rusting I have yet to see a JBA Silver or Titanium Ceramic Header rust.. Let me know if there's anything we can help you with. I have several different brand headers in stock to choose from and I'd be glad to assist you. Thanks, Jared

I also read on here something about the motor mounts and the headers possibly hitting the steering arm? Is this true? How long would the standard stainless steel jba last without the coating? I see they appear to be a little cheaper.

yes, it is true...atleast in my case. I have the whole JBA exhaust system with the O/R H-pipe. Until I got the motor mounts on my car, the headers would slam into the frame (i believe).Since then, no problems. I have had the Stainless Steel headers without coating for about 2 years now, and they still look perfect. I believe the coating is to shield heat more so than to make them last longer.

How loud is it with the off road h-pipe? Do you have any regrets buying these headers? What kinda motor mounts did you get?

the system is very loud. when we were dyno tuning it, everybody had to go outside of the garage except the guy in the car cause the noise was deafening. i dont regret it but it is something were the radio has to be up if you dont feel like listening to the exhaust. i got the steeda motor mounts. they come with two different polyurethane bushings. a red one and a black one. one is for moderate conditions and the other is for racing applications. i put the moderate ones on and it is perfect. the motor has no give at startup though so the car does a little shake at startup. at first, it was noticable but now i dont even notice it. everybody that rides in it likes it though cause i "feels like you are starting up an old muscle car"...

Do the mounts raise the engine at all? I have a shaker scoop on my car right now, are these mounts goin to affect that at all? I just have flo-pro mufflers on, and it sounds nice like it is, but I like loud, lol.

they didnt raise the engine (that i can notice)...i believe they are just a direct replacement exact fitting just with much more support...i actually broke one of my factory motor mounts within a few weeks of doing all my mods...

sorry, no videos as of now. i live in houston so it is kind of hard to do anything without the cops being right there up your ***...
