ok i didnt think this was possible, but i finally got the courage to race my friends lightning...my mods are simple, stroke to 302, higher compression ratio, CAI, UDP, =350RWHP vs. 2002 SVT Lightning stock, new supercharger pulley w 12-13 psi boost, =450RWHP (or so he says), doubt it tho...anyway, after school we were on a little road no much traffic at all, from a dig i had him and the rest was history, 1 1/2 links...i hated to race a fellow ford, but, it was fun...anyone else beat a lightning like this, or was my stang just runnin good today?

Stock Lightings are 13.40s-13.50s I believe.....But yeah,they are very beatable if you can drive!

I beat my friends 04 lightning all the time... his is stock though... not for long...

05 and up GT's bone stock are just as quick as lightnings. with what you have done it should have been embarrassing

Lightnings are about 1200 lbs heavier...you have to respect their performance given the mass. I'm driving my mechanics 99 Lightning while my car is being worked on. I've seen him do a 12.3 in the 1/4, in his. Let's go.

Yeah I don't get the racing a bus comment, because I've seen Lightnings run 12's all day at the strip with just a smaller pulley on they're blower.
