They're cheap becasue they are mild steel (not stainless).

You get what you pay for, short turm (Yes) they will preform the same. Long turm the coating will noy be effictive and they will start to rust. These are like the the headers of the 60's and 70's before Headers were developed and manufactured of stainless 304.

Well that link does say its ceramic coated. Also i think you still need a mid pipe with this header which usually comes with any other long tube system. Hense more cost. Like Searay said not made out the best material, heavier and probably will crack or break over time. If your someone that doesnt put a lot of miles on your stang every year and it is more of a collectors thing kept in a garage then yeah it probably wouldnt matter as much.

Well, they're not something I'd put on my car but if you decide to go with them based on price alone here's an even better deal from Brenspeed, one of this sites sponsors. It's essentially brand new. At least you can give them a call and maybe get a deal on the appropriate midpipe you'll need to match the headers. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-07...mZ280070743545

The MAC headers aren't bad at all. Actually a great deal for the money. However they are mild steel and not stainless.

If you want to step up a little from there go with the Kooks, SW or American Racing Headers as there's no questioning the durability or performance of any of them as they are the best around and made from T-304 Stainless Steel !!

Mac ceramic coating is a waste, Jet Hot is the way to go both inside and outside the pipe.. When you do just outside it rusts from the inside still.
Also the ceramic starts to chip and as that happens it rusts..

Go with 304 SS and you will be much happier in the long run
