Gas Gauge Drop to zero!!!!

Ok, I was just doing an average accel from a light and all of a sudden the gas tank gauge dropped from about 3/4 full to E and the message said 13 miles till empty!! then I stopped and it slowly went back up to about 1/4 way!!! its still wrong!! I need help, I rely on it to tell me when to fill. I know I am not spilling gas all over the road. Anyone have any Idea?? If I takeit to Ford they might notice my off road X and tell me they wont fix it. anyone??

Yea if i were you i wouldn't worry about. The first time i did a burn out my tank fell to E and miles to empty read 0. After about an hour it was normal again. IT was a 1 time thing for me and hopefully shouldl be for you too.

It happens to all of us. Don't lie - it wasn't on a "light" accelaration
You should hear it go off in every turn on a road course - very annoying.
