Cool, I also thought about sending him an e-mail to see what the scoop/scam was.

I also remember seeing those photos on the internet before. As a matter of fact that was the car that convinced me to put black stripes on my GT. I think I have the web address still tagged on my computer at home so I'll have to check when I get home tonight.

Let us know when you hear back from the guy!

I definately wanted to! I looked but it won't list the bidders name until the end of the auction (unless I missed something).

Attention anyone who is considering placing a bid on this car:

It just so happens that I am the sole owner of a very famous bridge in NYC (rhymes with "crooklyn"), and am now accepting offers from interested buyers.
My minimum price is $1000 with no reserve, and I would like to be paid by money order sent to my p.o. box in Nigeria.
This is not a "scam", I am as honest as the day is long, so please trust me and make a generous offer because I will be donating half the proceeds to orphan homes and the other half to cancer research!

P.S. If your generous offer exceeds $5000, I will throw in my ' 07 Shelby GT 500 for FREE...!
Sorry I don't have any pics, but that's only because my camera is broken.........
For something like this to really work well you need misspelt a more words and mistaken the gramer

Weird, Car is in Chicago....what's with all the Palm trees and tropical plants in the back ground???...I just heard of some stupid kid get taken for 2800.00 on a similar scam on a motorcycle. What's with people...do their brains freeze when they see what they think is a great deal...
IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.......IT'S PROBABLY NOT!
+1

The pics definately aren't taken in Chicago. (He did say the Saleen was installed in Irvine, CA)

Did anyone who emailed him get a reply on where the car is located? Tell the guy someone will stop by and look at it, see what he says.

He hasn't responded but when he does I'll ask him where the car is located and tell him I want to come look at it.

Yup, but it had 7 bids and was up $610 before it was removed.

Still not too bad for an Automatic! :-)
