Default SUNSCREEN

Hey guys, we go to a LOT of car shows, drag days etc. and thought I would pass on some hard learned wisdom.
I had a mole on my arm that was lookin funny so I went to the Dermatologist and had it removed. The biopsy result was that it was a malignant melonoma - Skin Cancer, not the good kind either, they were quoting 63 percent survival rate.
Now the good news, I went to the Washington Hospital Cancer Center and they didn't find anymore on me andsaidso far the prognosis looked good, now after a BOATLOAD of tests, blood, MRI, CT, CAT etc. and surgery to cut a HUGE hole out of my arm and graft from my side to fill it in as well as removing limpf nodes from my arm pit they say I caught it in time! Now, I’m in my mid forties and never gave sunburns much thought, but the last 4 weeks of thinking I was going to die has really opened my eyes. I WILL be using the sunscreen from now on!!!

Take care of that graft and hope for no bad suprises in the future. Being in healthcare many are just like you and don't realize how hard the sun is on the skin which is the front line in dealing with any skin cancer. I will shoot a prayer to the man upstairs and hope your recovery is fast and with as little pain as possible. Take care J
