As you all have read, I installed Dynatech LT's with O/R xpipe. well I went to start her up and I got "FAIL SAFE MODE" message. I did a check with the XCAL2 and nothing came up. Also, when slowly accelerating thru 1st and 2nd she tends to hesiate, when you hit 3rd it's gone. Does this sound fimilar to any of you? if so, how can I fix it? thanks alot

 

YOU NEED A TUNE!

 

Yes i have read many times that a tune is required with the header install. Do you have any of the O2 sensors shut off. You can shut the 2 off without problems but you cannot shut the front sensor off.

 

you installed L/ts and o/r x without a tune?

that right there is your problem. the engine will go into failsafe mode because it detects a number of conditions that could be harmful to the engine.

get a tune and your all set.
