245 hp...???....
is this for real ???

How the hell do they come up with putting 300hp on the GT brochure?????

ORIGINAL: 06SaLeEn

with pullies and hp pipe? No tune? On a mustang dyno he would put down 240-245 stock , with h pipe and pullies he is 255 max on a mustang dyno, a dyno jet 270 max. No tune he not going to get much out of pullies and h pipe IMO

on some dynos there have been reports of very low HP numbers.....these are usually on mustang dynos which register alot lower than the dynojets. 265-270 are typical rwhp numbers stock.

Hey Elvis,

I'd venture to say you are around 300-310 RWHP, probably 315-325 RWTQ. Can't wait to see what ya do at the track now. By the way, I'm curious as to what Tri-ax I'll be getting in the mail? Steeda shows a different version of the Tri-ax then is shown on Brenspeed's site. Which one did you get? Why are there two different versions and why doesn't Steeda show the one they offer to Brenspeed? I'm thoroughly confused.

Easy math, 300 crank hp times .18 (for 18% drivetrain loss) equals 246 rwhp and auto a little lower. This again on a mustang dyno, which IMO is a little more accurate, though some would disagree, thats fine not here to argue that point. I think if these really had 270 rwhp that would put it at 330 crank HP. Which I dont think thats true....Again all these numbers are on a mustang dyno

Does anyone know the actual drivetrain loss for the manual transmission?

Because people tend to dyno around 260 rwhp on a dynojet and that is about 13% drivetrain loss. 13% isn't too unreasonable.

Drivetrain loss is around 15% for the manual and 18-20% for the autos.

Even though I think its more like 18% for manuel and 20% for auto, that is more dead on than 13%. Againa dyno jet showing 13% loss or 261 rwhp is about right with a Dyno Jet. This is one reason why I dont agree to much with Dyno jet numbers. But most people like Dyno jets because they look better on paper, but paper dont mean jack, its what you do at the track/street that matters
