Why is it that our cars don't sound like the 04's? I it the fact that they are 2v or 4v?

I am sure the fact that the 05-07 gts are 3v that would be a reason behind the fact they sound different. Actually the whole car is different, better exhaust flow etc...

There is nothing that is similar between the 2 really......so why would it sound like them.

there are 2 intake and 1 exhaust valves in our engine, and even though I cant see how intake valves would change the sound of our engine, ,,,, they still are completely different.

Its like comparing a honda to a dumptruck... Can't do it

I would assume because of the way that the exhaust is designed. All other mustang years have the mufflers mid way in the exhaust instead if the rear like the s197. My car sounds pretty close to my friends sn95. I have and offroad x-pipe with 2 resinators were the muffllers are on other stangs, and straight piped mufflers.
